近日在美國華盛頓舉辦的The Association of Educational Publishers(AEP)宴會上,教育出版社Teacher Created Materials(TCM)再次獲頒五項卓越成就大獎。
TCM憑著發展高品質教育資源,在2011年6月8日舉行的AEP活動中,獲得最高榮譽的五項大獎。
TCM的總裁Corinne Burton說道:「得到這些的獎項無疑證明了我們對老師的承諾。我們會繼續努力,提升出版水平,並出版更多可滿足老師需要的課堂教材。」
Building Fluency Through Reader's Theater: American Tall Tales and Legends,榮獲兩項大獎:K-5課程、閱讀和語言學習與K-5社會科組別的獎項。該產品專為幼兒至12歲的兒童設計,希望以有趣的閱讀練習,幫助兒童流暢的口說與寫作。本產品特別提供劇本為特別的指導工具,讓孩子們可以在認字與理解之餘,還加強對社會教育的認識。
TCM的另一款產品Building Fluency through Reader's Theater: William Shakespeare,亦在課程、特殊教育與療育組別得獎。本系列以莎士比亞的戲劇為藍本,把莎翁的十三行詩以不同的方式表現,如圖片與聲音等,希望能加強現有的特殊教育課程,並配合療育計劃。
而贏得課程和6-8歲科學組別獎的the Discovering Science through Inquiry: Ecology and the Environment,學生可透過親身參與活動及發問親自研究並了解更多的科學概念。
