"TEACHING THROUGH DRAMA" Workshop
Refreshing teacher motivation and inspiring new ideas is our aim, and to accomplish this aim we have devised a series of inspiring physical and mental exercises and games. Afterwards teachers will be able to face the learning season with renewed enthusiasm and innovative teaching techniques. Your students will really appreciate it!
Three hours for up to 30 participants.
Exercises and games designed to help teachers explore their own playfulness and creativity (voice—
Movement—expression) and will enable them to transmit this mood to their students and thereby, make lessons more fun and effective.
Breakdown
1- Theory: The rhythm of a lesson.
2- Theory put into practice: mental exercise, physical exercise, improvisation.
3- Theory: sleeping and waking.
4- Theory put into practice: mental game, physical exercise.
5-.Theory: The importance of oxygenating the brain.
6- Theory put into practice: brain-gym.
7- Ideas for games and exercises to do during a revision period and before dictations and exams.
8- Closure.
About Maria Laura Bordalejo, the coordinator of the Workshop
Currently, Lulu is part of ArtSpot Education and Entertainment, an educational theater company which stages a new production in English each year to make the learning of Language more entertaining. She works as part of the creative team, as well as acting in and directing the shows.
Lulu is interested in Anthroposophy (Rudolf Steiner) as applied to education and after studying for four years (2005-08), she became a Waldorf teacher. She has been a drama instructor at schools since 1993, creating her own method of teaching the art of theater..
